Jennifer Caine Provine

Jennifer Caine Provine, violinist, is Associate Concertmaster of the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra and violinist of the Volta Piano Trio, with whom she has performed extensively throughout the Northwest and abroad, been heard on national radio stations, and recorded three discs on the Con Brio label to critical acclaim. She also performs with the Seattle-based chamber ensemble Kokopelli, and has appeared on several chamber music series and at national and international summer music festivals.

Jeanne Bourgeois Swanson

Dr. Jeanne Bourgeois Swanson has been Assistant Concertmaster of the Spokane Symphony Orchestra since 2008.  She has a doctorate in violin performance from the Eastman School of Music, a masters from Northwestern University and an undergraduate degree from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.  Her teachers include Charles Castleman, Almita and Roland Vamos, Kurt Sassmannshaus, Piotr Milewski, Thomas Wermuth and Elmira Darvarova.  Jeanne has previously held orchestral positions with the Syracuse Symphony, Sarasota Opera, Utah Festival Opera, and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.

Laurel Wells

Laurel Wells is known for her work on both baroque and modern viola and violin. She has enjoyed an extensive and eclectic musical life, performing in Hong Kong, Norway, Canada, and throughout the United States.  For twenty years she played violin with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, between seasons earning Master’s degrees in violin and viola from Indiana University.  She studied chamber music at the Banff Centre in Canada and performed extensively under the guidance of the Vermeer Quartet.  Laurel was a member of the Northwest Chamber Orchestra, holding the position of principal viola.

Mary Sokol Brown

Mary Sokol Brown is well known in the Vancouver music community as both a performer and teacher. She has been a member of the Vancouver Symphony since 1979 where she holds the fourth chair position in the first violin section.

Mary has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician with many of Vancouver's musical ensembles including the Vancouver Symphony, Vetta Recital series, Vancouver New Music, Music in the Morning and on CBC Radio broadcasts.

In the summers she has taught and performed at the Courtenay, West Coast AMS, and Marrowstone Music Festivals.
