Nathan also collaborates with Puget Sound based voice studios such as Shepherd Song Studios, Teresa Lin, and Alley Bell Music. In addition, before the pandemic, he was pianist for several years for the Kodály Levels Program of Seattle. Nathan also teaches and tutors piano, voice, and music theory privately.
Nathan has deep roots at Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA. He earned his BA with a focus on Music Composition, then stayed to work as Staff Accompanist with Whitman College’s Music Department, playing for private voice and instrumental lessons, student recitals, as well as Opera Workshop productions and fully-staged productions presented by Whitman College’s Harper Joy Theatre. In addition, during the last three of those eight years, Nathan began teaching voice as an Adjunct Voice Teacher which opened his eyes to the joys of teaching singing.
